This weekend marks the return of La Liga EA Sports after the November international break. Girona FC has been the team to watch at the top of the table throughout this break. With 34 points now, the Catalan team leads Real Madrid (32) and FC Barcelona (30).<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-290725″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-preview-of-la-liga-matchday-14-girona-fc-will-be-under-siege-from-real-madrid-and-.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com preview of la liga matchday 14 girona fc will be under siege from real madrid and” width=”1073″ height=”714″ title=”Preview of La Liga Matchday 14: Girona FC will be under siege from Real Madrid and Barcelona 3″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-preview-of-la-liga-matchday-14-girona-fc-will-be-under-siege-from-real-madrid-and-.jpg 275w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-preview-of-la-liga-matchday-14-girona-fc-will-be-under-siege-from-real-madrid-and–150×100.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1073px) 100vw, 1073px” />

Remarkably, Girona FC’s championship challengers will try to apply pressure before the leaders return to action on Monday night when they play in the last match of Matchday 14.

Playing at the other end of the league, the first encounter of the matchday is crucial as 15th-placed Deportivo Alaves takes on 19th-placed Granada CF. Both of these clubs are from LALIGA HYPERMOTION, and while they’ve had inconsistent beginnings to the current campaign, they will be hoping to win this straight match, which will pit Samu Omorodion against his old squad.

Three of the four games on Saturday will take place in the capital of Spain. Rayo Vallecano vs. FC Barcelona is the first of those matchups. Xavi will bring his team to Vallecas knowing full well how tough of a match this is, as Barça has lost all four of their prior encounters with Rayo Vallecano. Los Franjirrojos will try to win at home against Los Blaugrana for the third time in a row after defeating FC Barcelona 1-0 and 2-1 in the previous two seasons.

Next up is a very important match between Valencia CF and RC Celta. Rafa Benítez will be playing his second game back at the stadium where he won two LALIGA EA SPORTS championships at the start of the century. At the beginning of this match, all eyes will be on the sidelines since the current RC Celta leader, Rubén Baraja, is a former player and will be sitting in the opposing bench.

After that, the action moves back to Madrid, to the Coliseum of Getafe CF, where they will face UD Almería in a clash. The Andalusian team will go to the capital knowing that Getafe CF hasn’t lost since September, but they are still aiming for their first LALIGA EA SPORTS victory of the season.

The last match of the weekend is Atletico de Madrid vs. RCD Mallorca. Coach Javier Aguirre will be facing the squad he commanded from 2006 to 2009, which is another instance of a coach going back to his old team. Diego Simeone is the star player at the Estadio Civitas Metropolitano these days, of course, and the Argentine will want to win at home for the eighteenth time in a row.

Marcelino will make his second appearance as Villarreal CF’s coach in the first of the Sunday’s games. In front of the Estadio de la Ceramica audience, the Spanish strategist will play CA Osasuna. He has returned to the team he commanded from 2013 to 2016.

Real Sociedad and Sevilla FC are competing in a Champions League showdown in the Basque Country on Sunday afternoon. The Sevilla FC stalwarts, Jesús Navas, Sergio Ramos, and Ivan Rakitić, will be hoping that their comeback to draw ELGRAN DERBI last time out may serve as a springboard for a strong finish to the year.

Runner-up On Sunday night, Real Madrid will visit Cádiz CF, and they will go south with the knowledge that a win would at least temporarily place them at the top of the league. Jude Bellingham is expected to make a comeback after being injured, thus Los Blancos will be flying high when they play at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla.

Real Betis vs. UD Las Palmas, the penultimate match of the day, promises to be an intriguing match between two teams who play possession-based football and are currently in strong form. These two teams of technical players are now ranked seventh and eighth in the rankings, respectively, so this might be one of the more intriguing matches of the weekend.

The matchday’s last game takes place at Girona FC’s home field, where the leaders will try to continue their amazing run when Athletic Club visits. This will be one of the hardest challenges Míchel’s team has faced so far since the Basques start the matchday in fifth position. However, Girona FC has surprised supporters all season long and will aim for what would be a sixth straight victory on Monday night.
