The winning Indian team lost the first game 19-21, pulled off an incredible comeback to win the second game 21-18, and then made another heroic effort to rebound from a 1-8 deficit before losing the championship match 19-21 in a match that lasted one hour and eleven minutes.

When the Indians entered the court, they were one victory away from winning their second BWF Super 750 championship, but Liang Wei Keng and Wang, the top-ranked duo in the world, got the early lead by winning the first game.

The Indian duo, who won gold at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, forced their way back into the competition by winning the second game and advancing to the final decider.

But the Chinese maintained their poise and prevailed, thwarting yet another remarkable comeback by the once top-ranked Indian team.

Liang and Wang, two Chinese players, had the best head-to-head record, but the Indian team had won their last two matchups in consecutive games.
